The Acorn became a training practice in 2002 and the excellent work in this area has now taken them to Advanced Training Practice status. Doctors who want to become GPs continue their training with us and work at the practice as part of this training. They are fully supervised by Acorn GP Trainers. You may be offered an appointment with one of our training doctors. We also have medical students, nursing and pharmacy students at the practice as part of their specific professional training; you may be asked if a student can sit in on your consultation and you can, of course, decline this request but we will always ensure we have your consent.
We are a research active practice involved in national studies and research projects and you may be asked if you wish to take part in a research study of some kind. You are completely at liberty to decline any such request and your full consent will always be obtained.
