The Acorn Surgery holds a contract with the local Primary Care Trust, now known as NHS Cambridgeshire, to provide primary care NHS services for the local population.  Click here to view their website.

In addition, they have also commissioned our Practice to host and support Community Gynaecology Clinics and Uro-gynaecology Clinics, run by Consultants from Hinchingbrooke Hospital.  We think that offering these services locally, makes it much more convenient for patients in terms of access - and it costs much less in terms of NHS funds to run these services in community, rather than hospital settings. Click here for info.

We also host the Community Echo-cardiology service from our Practice and we have also been commissioned to provide a Community Vasectomy Service from here too. For more information on our Vasectomy Service click here.

We work closely with colleagues from the Primary Care Mental Health Service (part of Cambridge & Peterborough Mental Health Foundation Trust) to offer a range of clinics from our surgery run by Community Psychiatric Nurses, Counsellors and Psychotherapists to support patients with anxiety and depression, alcohol-related problems, return to work and employment issues and general difficulties with their mental health and wellbeing.  Click here to view the Trust's website.

The GPs and nurses at our surgery also offer an enhanced range of services including minor surgery, minor illness and acupuncture.  Further details can be found in our Practice Information Leaflet
