Did you know, if you need to register with a GP practice, you don't need to choose the nearest - it's your choice.

The acorn surgery is situated in the Oxmoor area of Huntingdon, just half a mile from the town centre.  It is housed in a modern, bright, purpose build health centre which is accessible for disabled people.  We currently have a list size of just over 7,000 patients.

Register How to register with the Practice

This is a straightforward process and if you are moving from another surgery, you do not need to let them know that you plan to register with another Practice, you can simply complete the forms and either post or bring into the Acorn in person. Your medical records will be automatically transferred to us. There are two forms to complete: Download Acorn registration form, Download NHS registration form

You will be registered with the Practice rather than an individual doctor but if you have a preference to see a specific doctor, we can record this in your records.

All newly registered patients who have an existing medical condition will be asked to make an appointment for a health check soon after registering. This is a good opportunity for us to find out more about any long term medical conditions you may have and to discuss your current health needs with you.

RegisterIf you take regular medication, you must make an appointment with one of our doctors as generally you cannot be given any repeat medication until the doctor has reviewed your health.

A new medical card and registration details will be sent to you through the post by the Health Authority.

If you have any queries you would like to discuss with us before registering with our Practice, please do not hesitate to contact one of the Team on 01480 483100, or call into the Practice to get more information or to make arrangements to look around the surgery before you decide.
